HMB (3-Hydroxy-3-methylbutyric acid) is a component made from the essential amino acid leucine. It is said that only about 5% of HMB is produced from leucine ingested as food. To supplement 300 mg of HMB, about 5 cups of protein containing a large amount of leucine is required by calculation. This product is a hybrid type protein that contains HMB equivalent to 5 tablespoons of protein in double protein of whey and soy.
